Canada's Elbows-Up Economic Collapse

Put your skates on boys, we've got a game to lose.
"There is a time in a game, in a big game — and this is a big game — when you go hard in the corners with your elbows up. There's a time in the game when you drop your gloves in the first period and you send a message. And we've done that, pretty uniquely in the world, but there's also a time in a game where you want the puck, you want to stickhandle, you want to pass, you want to put the puck in the net... and we're at that time of the game." - Mark Carney

There’s another point in the game in which your team is down by 4 points and you need to switch goalies, but there’s only 5 minutes left and despite the brash pep talks the fire starts to go out as everyone on and off the ice starts to realize that it’s game over. People start getting up from their seats and heading out early in order to beat traffic out of the arena.
Is it game over for Canada as we knew it? Watching Canadians react to the ongoing circus of Canadian politics is truly amazing. From the pundits to the average normies to the politicians themselves, everyone seems to have lost their minds.
Carney winning the election back in April was obviously catastrophic. Canadians were full of piss and vinegar and for some reason they thought this Michael Ignatieff-type character was Superman. Maybe it was his banking profile or the “Elbows up” virality, I don’t really know because it was obvious to me that this guy was a weak Davos suit with a Trudeau 2.0 operating system.
Having Carney and Doug Ford go off on tough talk simply kicked the American hornet’s nest and left us with horrible ultimatums. The main ultimatum is already underway: a massive recession. Yes folks, Canada is in a recession right now, despite the legacy media running defense for the Liberals and making it seem like we aren’t… the recession is on.
Meanwhile, the United States is booming. Just like during the George W. Bush years, the media is on permanent recession watch, eagerly hoping to pin any downturn on Republican policy. But it’s not coming to fruition. Part of it is due to infinite deficit spending, but part of it is due to Trump’s “America First” priorities.
America First is working. Businesses abroad are investing in the U.S. and capital is moving in massively…especially from Canada. Billions of dollars are moving from Canada to the United States. So while Liberal Boomers living off CPP are boycotting Florida oranges, people with money are investing boatloads of cash straight out of Canada.
Trump is racking up favourable deals out of Japan and Europe and pressing other countries for the same. He’s positioning the United States to be an economic powerhouse for the next century…reshoring business and attracting investment and securing geopolitical strength in the process.
But Canadians think he’s just an asshole and he’s crazy. Many shitlibs still talk about Trump like it’s 2016. I’ve recently heard the “he’s racist” bit and “he’s Putin’s puppet” thing. Why can’t Canadians upgrade their software and figure out what year it is?
The people on the Left, which is basically 85% of Canada, still think they are socially signalling their status by displaying Trump Derangement Syndrome. They go out of their way to bring up Trump and how he’s an insane jerk. No understanding, just signalling yesterday’s propaganda. Ever since Covid it’s hard not to pretend that 85% of Canadians aren’t just NPCs with this stuff, but even then… why are they still so far behind the curve?

They are still Woke. They still think Woke has the moral capital. It’s embarrassing to listen to people being Woke, when the United States has/is so thoroughly blazing through/past that era with the new culture that is reflected in America First.
Meanwhile, the Canadian Right seems to be one of three things right now:

  1. Basically Liberals from 20 years ago. This is the Conservative Party of Canada.
  2. Baffled people who keep asking the same questions over and over again and don’t understand that they are not in the majority at all. I listen to a handful of Canada political podcasts and over and over again it’s whining commentators and politicians and pundits lamenting that we don’t have more pipelines and we have too many internal trade barriers and why do we worry about climate change when Canada only contributes 1% of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions and why can’t home owners use force to defend themselves and why do criminals get off with a slap on the wrist!?!?

It just goes on endlessly with these people. They don’t get the nature of the enemies that rule over them and they can’t see past their Boomer framework.

Try explaining to them that a guy like Mark Carney doesn’t want pipelines because he doesn’t want us to use oil and they just can’t comprehend it. They launch into a million reasons why that is wrong…and it is…but they don’t understand that the worldview of their enemies doesn’t subscribe to the framework that these types of conservatives take for granted.
  3. Cosplayers that see any development in the U.S. and try to map it over Canada as though it makes sense. A recent poll shows Poilievre’s Conservatives are back in the lead when it comes to polling.

First of all, haven’t we learned by now that polling doesn’t matter much except for about two weeks from the election? I wrote about this years ago, but people still talk about polls like they matter towards something.

Secondly, getting excited about “winning” a poll and stating things like, “We are SO back baby!” is cringe. This is Canada. We are SO not back! We are SO not winning. American conservatives of all stripes are winning hard. In Canada, we are losing horrifically. We are losing SO horrifically, it’s amazing.

All this is to say what exactly? Canadians don’t understand what’s going on. They don’t know what to do. They don’t realize we are ruled by retards and bad guys who make walking the woods illegal and charge home invasion defenders with assault. They don’t realize that a massive recession is upon us. They stay Woke. Doug Ford is popular. Infinity immigrants are still arriving. Unemployment is up. Fertility rates are down. People can’t afford houses. Palestinian protests clash with Pride parades. Things get marginally worse. Everyone blames Trump.

When will our era of retardation end?
